 Rank 1:
Mascote

The first rank of Mascote is Mascote itself.  You earn this rank at home in as quick as 21 days.

First Rank: Mascote Badge

The Rank
Of Mascote

The first rank of Mascote is Mascote itself. It is represented by our patch or printed on a shirt or hat. It is a red “M”, by itself, on a blue back ground with a teepee and our trademark. This “M’ is the base of all and present on all of the ranks of the Mascote. This  is the first and most important token of the Mascote.  Earning it entitles you to an invitation to attend the Acorn Camp that is held on the first week of Mascote Camp, where you have the opportunity to earn the Acorn rank.

You must be 10 years old to begin the trail that will earn you the Mascote “M”. The requirements are many and few achieve even this first rank. You must show you can take care of yourself, camp out with your family and demonstrate hiking, woodcraft, first aid, and leadership skills. You must gain the cooperation of others to earn this rank and win the honor of attending your first Mascote Camp.

Once you have earned the rank of Mascote, your name, year and rank will be added to the Mascote National Roster and you will be welcomed at any Mascote Camp for the rest of your life. Generations of Mascote from all colors and stripes return as sisters and brothers to the High Bark Camps just to hike down into “Wakondo Valley" and take the “Untold Test”, which they must also pass, again and again.
Gathering together for fun, for fellowship, and for service with long time friends and family while enjoying America’s great outdoors for even a single day is what the Mascote are all about.

Patriotic Service” are the watch words of the Mascote.
